I’m Back!
Posted by doublec on June 22, 2008
Wow, it has been forever since I’ve posted something to my blog, but, I’m back. I’ll be honest, I don’t know how consistent I’ll be, but I am going to try my best to keep things up to date.
Until I have something I really want to write about, I would like to share with you a few pieces of my artwork. Yes, I created these myself. Feel free to comment and enjoy!
The first picture is called “City on a hill.” It was inspired by Matthew 5:14:
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
The second picture is one I drew at work. I placed a $20 bill on my desk and tried to sketch the picture of Andrew Jackson. How did I do?
This is mine…
Below is the actual picture of Andrew Jackson on the new $20.00. No I did not scan a twenty dollar bill, the picture was actually found on GOOGLE.

Decision 2008
Posted by doublec on March 1, 2007
Former Republican Governor of Virginia, James Gilmore recently formed a presidential exploratory committee which has launched an official website. Gilmore, 57, claims that he is the only consistent conservative seeking the GOP nomination. The Republican party has several prominent faces seeking the GOP nod such as; former New York Mayor Rudolph Guliani, Senator John McCain (AZ), Mitt Romney the former Governor of Massachusetts, and Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas. However, many of them have been called either liberal or moderate Republicans when it comes to family values and social issues, which has troubled many conservatives. To find out more about James Gilmore or possibly begin supporting his campaign, click here: Gilmore For President.

Enjoying Time Off
Posted by doublec on February 23, 2007
Well, I am on vacation today and enjoying a much needed time of relaxation. Yesterday we packed up the family car and headed up to Illinois to visit with the In-Laws. One of the most enjoyable parts of the visit so far has been seeing my newest and only niece and I must say she is an absolute beauty; second only to my daughter (and any of our future children). Most of my morning was spent watching “Dora The Explorer” with my daughter and my afternoon has consisted of a bit of reading and a long over-due helping of the SciFi channel. However, while taking a short break, I wanted to share two articles I’ve read recently by Father Jonathan Morris, a regular contributor to FoxNews.com. Scientology And Modern Pictures Of The Divine and Part II In Understand Scientology. Both of these articles are good reading and I encourage you to check them out. I hope all of you have a excellent weekend, I’m off to watch “MythBusters!”

New York Sun Article Compares The Numbers
Posted by doublec on February 20, 2007
by Alicia Colon
“The total military dead in the Iraq war between 2003 and this month stands at about 3,133. This is tragic, as are all deaths due to war, and we are facing a cowardly enemy unlike any other in our past that hides behind innocent citizens. Each death is blazoned in the headlines of newspapers and Internet sites. What is never compared is the number of military deaths during the Clinton administration: 1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That’s 4,417 deaths in peacetime but, of course, who’s counting?”

Hello world!
Posted by doublec on February 7, 2007
Hello everyone, that’s right, I now have a blog. I will pause for a moment for the thunderous applause…
All joking aside, I hope the next time you visit I will have something more interesting to say. I am very new to this, so be very patient, it may take some time for me to get totally acclimated. Who knows, I may really stink at this, but anyway, I just wanted you to know I am now “blogging.”
The Adventure begins…
